KSAT in Rotterdam : Rebellion in the youth / Workshop

Closing drinks and outcome of the week

We had a very productive week in Rotterdam. We finished saturday evening with some drinks and the celebration of Martina’s birthday.

We met some amazing artists that we will present you better in the following weeks.

Time to leave and go back home

Conclusion of the workshop written on the way back to Paris. Working night-time kept awake by the enthusiasm !

The three goals that we wanted to reach were :

-       settling on a common direction on how to approach the theme

-       agreeing on a common frame for the collaborative artwork that is the book

-       thinking about the exhibition space and settling on how we are going to arrange it

Here is the summary of the outcome of these goals :

-       We decided that we could work on 2 main points :

  • Developping the idea of a rebellion without a cause

  • Changing the cliché face of the Rebel (from bearded guy to shaved guy, change of weapons : no more guns and more internet etc…)

-       We decided to mix the book and the bag and make a bookag.

-       The exhibition plan is still a bit foggy but in development.

See you soon Rotterdam

Backstage: les IF au cube / work in progress

Be there > samedi 29 juin!

We can’t reveal more about what IF team is cooking for KSAT big event. Enough is to know that it’s going to be a blast! The intervention will consist of a big size installation that connects with the space, it will put include video, sound, light and their favourite media: video mapping.IF will invade the space of Maison du Portugal central hall with their piece, that will represent a coherent link in between their latest interventions realized this winter for KSAT CAMP. Our friend Kazuma Eekman is currently in Japan for a school exchange at Zokei University. He’s originary from Rotterdam and previously participated at KSAT#3 « Mind Trips » and KSAT#5 « Visions of the future » with his really cool illustrations. He decided to keep collaborating with KSAT from Asia too. He sent us a little glimpse of his latest work, that you can check here below. His arworks and the ones of Horikoshi Kota are now on their way to Europe to be exposed on the next KSAT#6 launch exhibition at the Maison du Portugal in Paris. We love his work and we suggest you to come on June 29th to see its piece and to discover lots of other interesting artists!
