Last Wednesday took place the performance GOO by Nicolas Fenouillat and Bruno Persat at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris. When we watch Nicolas’ pieces, that focus mostly on sound and drums, we can hear the sound without it being actually here so that we feel like we want more. So, when he realizes a performance, it’s the occasion to feel the vibrations for real and not only visually.
When we arrived, someone handed us some earplugs and a balloon to blow up and to place between our hands or under our pullover and close to your belly. Great strategy to feel the vibrations. A slightly and acute sound suggested us to wear the earplugs immediately. The performance started and the ballons began to vibrate.

No photos or videos could convey the sensation we felt, the documentation will only allow you to have an overview or an idea of it. Next time you should come to check it out for real. This type of event was really able to show the real characteristics of a sort of ephemeral magic.

When the 45 minutes and 27 seconds were up, the top of the fingers were all warmed up and the feeling was stuck on it. Ears were still in choc and the whole body felt the waves.
